Orongo Missions supports widows, the aged and challenged in various ways including business boosting, apprenticeships, skills training and transfer, and building shelters for vulnerable households.
We facilitate crafts such as carpentry, masonry, bead and ornament making, and tailoring for income generation. Shelter construction for a vulnerable household costs approximately Ksh 120,000.
We encourage clients to engage and work to uplift themselves. Our approach is to empower rather than create dependency, building long-term sustainable livelihoods for the families we serve.
