Many vulnerable children stay out of school due to hunger. At a concessionary rate of Ksh 50 daily (less than half a dollar per child), we offer lunch to school-going children from vulnerable families.
This motivates regularity and improved performance and discipline in school. When children know they have a meal waiting at school, their attendance improves dramatically and their capacity to learn is greatly enhanced.
The program works with local schools to identify the most vulnerable children and ensure they receive nutritious, filling meals every school day.
